Die THF in Mussoorie (Indien) hat uns einen Jahresbericht zugeschickt, der mit so viel Liebe gestaltet ist, dass wir Sie daran teilhaben lassen möchten.
Ein besonderes Ereignis war die Einladung von 11 Schülern plus 2 Lehrer für dreieinhalb Wochen durch ganz England zu reisen und ein kulturelles Programm mit Tänzen und Gesängen vorzuführen. Die Gruppe besuchte 31 Schulen und traf mit über 3000 Schülern zusammen.
Nach dem tibetischen Neujahr, also im Februar, reiste eine Gruppe von Opern-
Sängern (ein Unterrichtsfach in der Schule) zu einem entsprechenden Festival nach Bylakuppe in Südindien. Natürlich besuchten sie auch zahlreiche Tempel und Klöster dort.
Das neue Schuljahr begann nach vier Wochen Ferien im März 2005. Der 05.03.,
der so genannte „Elterntag“, wurde der Mutter S.H. des Dalai Lama gewidmet
und die Kinder dankten ganz offiziell ihren Hauseltern, die mit so viel Hingabe
und Engagement eine Atmosphäre von Geborgenheit und Schutz schaffen, wo
auch Spaß und Spiel Raum finden.
Am 2. April fand die Abschlusszeremonie für die 12-Klässler statt. 88 Jugendliche verließen die Schule und wurden mit dem traditionellen Katag
(weißer Glücksschal) verabschiedet.
Am 7.April, dem Weltgesundheitstag, gab die Krankenschwester der Schule
den Hauseltern eine Einführung in die Thematik von Gesundheit und Hygiene.
Sie bekamen auch Erste-Hilfe-Koffer für ihre Häuser. Seit neuesten gibt es in
der Einrichtung ein Arztzimmer. Auch eine neue Zahnstation wurde eröffnet.
Am 25. April wurde offiziell der 16.Geburtstag des entführten 10. Panchen Lamas mit Gebeten und Ritualen gefeiert.
Alleine in diesem Jahr kamen 101 Neuzugänge von Tibet in die Schule!

The THF in Mussoorie (India) has sent us such a lovely annual report that we want to share it with you.
A special event was the invitaion of 11 children plus 2 teachers for touring England for three and a half weeks to perform a cultural program of songs and dances. The group visited 31 schools, meeting more than 3000 students.
After the Tibetan new year in February, a group of opera singers (a school subject) attended an operea festival in Bylakuppe, South India. Of course, they also went to see a number of temples and monasteries there.
The new school year started in March 2005, after four weeks of vacation. The 5th March, the so-called „Parents’ Day“, was dedicated to the mother of H.H. the Dalai Lama, and the children officially thanked their house parents, who with their dedication and enthusiasm are creating an evironment full of comfort and protection that even allows for fun and play.
On 2nd April, the graduation ceremony was celebrated for the students who finished their school education after 12 years. The 88 teenagers left the school after traditionally being offered their auspicious white shawls (katag).
On 7th April, the World Health Day, the school nurse gave the house parents an introduction into the subject of health and hygiene. They also received first aid kits for their houses. Recently, the school got its own doctor’s room for medical treatment, and a new dentist clinic was opened.
On 25th April, there was an official birthday celebration with prayers and rituals for the 16 year old 10th Panchen Lama, who was kidnapped years ago.
This year alone, 101 new children came to this school from Tibet!
